Diana Reich is the Founding Artistic Director of Charleston Literary Festival. Prior to this engagement, Diana was the Founding Artistic Director of the prestigious Charleston Festival in East Sussex in the UK, based at the former rural domain of the innovative Bloomsbury Group of writers, artists, and intellectuals, including painters Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, authors Virginia Woolf and E.M. Forster, and economist Maynard Keynes. Diana Reich was also formerly Director of English PEN, the worldwide association of writers which promotes literature and freedom of expression. She has always believed that the stories we tell ourselves and each other, via literature and the other creative arts, are at the heart of our humanity.
